The spotlight is on Harry Nilsson's masterpiece, "Nilsson Schmilsson" from 1971. The late, great singer, songwriter and guitarist Ritchie Valens is the "Focus Beam" artist this week on Boppin' With Beth. He was only 17 when he died and his recording career was only 8 months, but his impact is still felt today. Hear a couple of his tunes as well as songs from influences, peers and some he influenced including Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, Dion, The Penguins, The Drifters, Los Lobos, Eddie Cochran and Los Lonely Boys.
