The late, great American singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor Hoyt Axton is the "focus beam" artist on this new Boppin' With Beth! You'll hear about his story and a couple of great tunes from his catalog. There's also songs from some of his influences including Elvis Presley (Hoyt's mom wrote a hit for him), Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and artists that have covered him including Three Dog Night, The Kingston Trio, Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell, The Astronauts and Dallas Moore. Beth's Bop Of The Week is from Hoyt's son, Matt Axton! Jammin' James Riley has a tune from The Martian Denny Orchestra in Hang Ten. American musician, actor and producer Micky Dolenz is the "focus beam" artist on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth. Hear about his life and career including childhood tv star, a member of The Monkees, solo career, tv production and more! There's a couple of great solo tunes as well as a couple from The Monkees in the mix! American rock musician Walter Egan is the "Focus Beam" artist this week. Hear a couple of boppin' tunes from his solo career, a couple as a member of bands including The Malibooz (also featuring guest vocals by Lindsey Buckingham) and The Brooklyn Cowboys and a tune featuring Jackson Browne on guest vocals too.
