Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza: Led Zeppelin- "Led Zeppelin" (1969) on Boppin' With Beth 07-19-24

 


Take a walk with us to the record shop for another Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth. This week, the spotlight is on the self-titled debut album from Led Zeppelin (also referred to as "Led Zeppelin I") from 1969. Hear about this album, a couple of full tunes from it as well as snippets of the others. There's covers or originals of songs from the album by The Plebs, Godsmack, The Jeff Healey Band, Sandie Shaw, Jake Holmes, Big Jim Sullivan and Muddy Waters. Beth's Bop Of The Week is a NEW single by JD McPherson (also out on tour with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss). Jammin' James Riley has a rocker from The Untamed Youth (feat. Deke Dickerson) in Hang Ten. There's also tunes from Robert Plant and The Firm to close out the show!

April Wine "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 07-12-24

 


Canadian rock band April Wine is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth! Hear about their story and a couple of rockin' tracks from their catalog. There's tunes from some influences of their late lead singer (and primary songwriter), Myles Goodwyn including Hank Snow, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Rush. Beth's Lightning Round returns with guest Cory M. Coons and a track from him celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Jammin' James Riley has a song from The Surfrajettes in Hang Ten! Billy Squier "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 05-17-24

 


American musician, singer and songwriter Billy Squier is the "focus beam" artist on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth. Hear about his career including early bands and his solo career through today. There's a couple of rockin' tunes from his discography as well as one from his early band Piper. There's songs from some of his influences including The Rolling Stones, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles!
