Billy Squier "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 05-17-24

 


American musician, singer and songwriter Billy Squier is the "focus beam" artist on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth. Hear about his career including early bands and his solo career through today. There's a couple of rockin' tunes from his discography as well as one from his early band Piper. There's songs from some of his influences including The Rolling Stones, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles! Beth's Bop Of The Week is a new cover of a classic by The Rolling Stones by The Midnight Callers from an upcoming Jem Records Celebrates Jaggers & Richards compilation. Jammin' James Riley has a sunny rocker by Martin Cilia in Hang Ten and Bonfire covers Billy Squier to close the show!

Sheryl Crow "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 03-01-24

 


American singer-songwriter and musician Sheryl Crow is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth. Hear about her career and a couple of great tunes from her discography. There's tracks from some of her influences including Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Emmylou Harris, Carole King, James Taylor and Joe Walsh. There's a tune from Jimmy Buffett from an album Sheryl did backing vocals on in the late 80's and a song from Toots and The Maytals who are one of her favorites (she also hand-picked them on a tour with her several years back). Beth's Bop Of The Week is a new single from Stephie James! Jammin' James Riley has a song from Jim Messina & The Jesters in Hang Ten!
