Eva Cassidy "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 06-21-24

 


The late, great American singer and musician Eva Cassidy is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth. Hear about her career, a couple of solo tracks and songs from some of her influences including Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Joan Baez, Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Sting and Peggy Lee. Beth's Bop Of The Week is the latest from Chris Q. Murphy & The Automat. Jammin' James Riley has an instrumental cover from Tav Falco (produced by and feat. Mario Monterosso) in Hang Ten. American folk rock singer-songwriter Jim Croce is the "Focus Beam" artist this week. Hear about his career, untimely death and a couple of great tracks from his catalog.
