Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza: Jackson Browne- "Hold Out" (1980) on Boppin' With Beth 09-13-24

 


There's nothing quite like a fun trip to a record shop so get ready for another Beth's Crate Digging Extravaganza on this new Boppin' With Beth. This hour, we select Jackson Browne's "Hold Out" album from 1980. Hear about this album, 2 full tracks from it and snippets of the others. There's also songs from artists he has worked with or have covered songs of his including James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Larry Norman, Tom Rush, David Lindley, Warren Zevon and The Byrds. Eva Cassidy "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 06-21-24

 


The late, great American singer and musician Eva Cassidy is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth. Sheryl Crow "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 03-01-24

 


American singer-songwriter and musician Sheryl Crow is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth. Hear about her career and a couple of great tunes from her discography. There's tracks from some of her influences including Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Emmylou Harris, Carole King, James Taylor and Joe Walsh. There's a tune from Jimmy Buffett from an album Sheryl did backing vocals on in the late 80's and a song from Toots and The Maytals who are one of her favorites (she also hand-picked them on a tour with her several years back).
