Sheryl Crow "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 03-01-24

 


American singer-songwriter and musician Sheryl Crow is the "focus beam" artist on this week's Boppin' With Beth. Hear about her career and a couple of great tunes from her discography. There's tracks from some of her influences including Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Mavis Staples, Emmylou Harris, Carole King, James Taylor and Joe Walsh. There's a tune from Jimmy Buffett from an album Sheryl did backing vocals on in the late 80's and a song from Toots and The Maytals who are one of her favorites (she also hand-picked them on a tour with her several years back). Beth's Bop Of The Week is a new single from Stephie James! Jammin' James Riley has a song from Jim Messina & The Jesters in Hang Ten!

The Clash "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 12-17-21


English rock band The Clash are this week's "focus beam" band on Boppin' With Beth. We hear from influences and peers including The Who, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Supremes, Chuck Berry and Toots And The Maytals.
