American singer, songwriter and guitarist Mark Farner is the "focus beam" artist on this new episode of Boppin' With Beth. Hear about his early bands, time with Grand Funk Railroad and his solo career including a couple of tunes from his discography. Plus, there's songs from some of his influences including Howard Tate, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Eric Clapton, Rick Derringer, Jeff Beck (feat. Imogen Heap) and Stevie Wonder. Beth's Bop Of The Week is a great tune from Cory M. Coons! Jammin' James Riley has an instrumental rocker from The Go-Go's in Hang Ten and there's a track from The Smithereens who are playing a gig with Mark Farner on April 21, 2023 in New York!
