The late American singer, songwriter and guitarist J.J. Cale is our "focus beam" artist this week. You'll hear about how he liked to stay away from the spotlight while his songs became monster hits for others. Hear from some of his influences and those he influenced including Scotty Moore (Elvis Presley's guitar player), Chet Atkins & Les Paul, Leon Russell, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Kansas, Johnny Rivers and a tune he did with Eric Clapton who benefited the most from Cale's tunes. We have a couple of rockin' tracks from J.J.'s catalog as well. Jammin' James Riley has an Eddie Cochran song in Rockabilly Rewind and we spin tunes from Pat Huggins and Michelle White (Tony Joe White's daughter) too!
