Our "focus beam" band this week is the American country music group, Turnpike Troubadours! We'll hear about their story, a couple of tracks from their discography and tunes from some of their influences and peers including Cross Canadian Ragweed, Johnny Horton, Old 97's, The Pogues, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams Jr., Jason Boland & The Stragglers and Mike & The Moonpies! Jammin' James Riley has one of the first surf tunes in Hang Ten by The Gamblers and there's tracks from The Barlow, JD McPherson, The Darters and Jeremy Parsons as well.
