Townes Van Zandt "Focus Beam" on Boppin' With Beth 02-11-22

 



The late, great American singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt is the "focus beam" artist this week. You'll hear about his long songwriting and recording career and a couple of tunes from his catalog. We'll spin tunes from some of his influences like Hank Williams with His Drifting Cowboys, Lightnin' Hopkins, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Jefferson Airplane and an outspoken devotee to Townes' music, Steve Earle.
